The City of Concord claims ownership to one of North Carolina’s most comprehensive collections of late nineteenth and early twentieth century historic districts along the streets of North Union, South Union and Edgewood. Residents of this Historic District take great pride in maintaining the historical and architectural greatness of these astonishing homes. Within the historic district are the Memorial Gardens. Located on three acres, the gardens wind through the 200-year-old cemetery of The First Presbyterian Church.
